IN MY OWN WORDs
Hi. Rich here. I am a leading tax expert. Using proven business, legal and tax ideas and strategies I have been mentoring business owners and their families of all ages and incomes for over 35 years. Our work together has changed lives and wealth by tens of thousands to a quarter of a million dollars or more.
I am the owner of Legacy Legal, Inc., a leading business, tax and estate planning law firm in North San Diego County. I also own Business Growth By Design, Inc. where I help business owners with growing durable profits. I teach a simple proprietary blueprint covering 7 core areas of business and giving business owners step by step directions to put in place consistent income, cost controls and streamline systems to enjoy predictable profits in their business.

UNIQUE
One part of my background that makes me unique is I have an advanced degree in tax law. This degree along with my over 35 years as a tax attorney and advisor makes me a catalyst bringing some of the most advanced and innovative wealth ideas and strategies to business owners and families to protect and preserve their wealth sometimes for multiple generations.
I like making taxes fun because it’s about helping you make money. I am also pretty unique in my industry because I use engaging games in my live events which makes the learning environment more fun and exciting.
MEDIA EXPERIENCE
I have published three books- The Magic of Money, Business Strengtheners and Generations. I have been on Rocu T.V., KFMB 760 AM and ESPN Radio and over the years I have written extensively on legal and tax matters.
MY HOME
My home is in Carlsbad, California with my wife for over 29 years and we had the distinction of having twins born on none other than April 15. Tax day for a tax guy. When I am not helping business owners, you will find me on the tennis courts where I had the joy of being ranked #1 in San Diego at my level of men’s doubles. I also enjoy skiing and have been helicopter skiing in the Canadian Rockies.

MY EDUCATION
Education always has been important in my family. I went to law school. While there, I took a tax course. Not only did I discover that I enjoyed the area, but I realized this field would be a great way to make people’s lives better by saving them money. I continued my education and received an advanced degree in tax law.
What’s very exciting about the over 35 years I have spent in this business is the perspective and deep insights I have gained that you just can’t get on Google. This is one of my unique advantages that I use for you to be more successful.
MY DEFINING MOMENT
While I was doing my skill,
I looked out the window and I thought to myself, there has to be something bigger, something better, something greater that I could do with my knowledge and experience. At this moment, I knew I wanted to make a difference in a different way.
I formed Business Growth By Design to provide tax, business and profitability education and training to business owners.
Today, I have integrated my traditional law practice with my work in speaking, trainings and programs giving business owners my proven Business Growth Blueprint as a guide to create the business of their dreams, to create their business by design.
